Ingredients that are easily absorbed by the body compensate for digestive function disorders and provide optimal nutrient intake with this food during weight gain and recovery periods.
The high content of energy, fat, protein, and other essential nutrients promotes recovery and helps reduce the required amount of food, which is especially important for dogs and cats when there is an increased need for additional food and/or in cases of weight loss.
Contains ß-1,3/1,6-glucans and increased amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, selenium, and arginine to maintain immune status. Beta-glucans bind to macrophages and provide the immune system with alarm signals, maintaining the immune response and altering cytokine production.
The high energy content, high concentration of essential nutrients, good absorption capacity, and excellent taste characteristics promote recovery after illness, surgery, injury, or weakened condition.
The special soft texture, which becomes even more liquid when mixed, allows the food to be used for feeding through a syringe or tube. It is recommended to add 1 or 2 parts of water for small tubes.
- SPECIFIC™ F/C-IN-W Intensive Support has a high protein content to promote recovery and compensate for catabolism and protein loss. Recovery is also supported by the high amount of essential amino acids in this food. Glutamine is an important energy source for enterocytes and restores the intestinal mucosa. Branched-chain amino acids are used by muscles and are important for maintaining nitrogen balance. Arginine helps maintain nitrogen balance, promotes immune response formation, and wound healing.
- SPECIFIC™ F/C-IN-W Intensive Support has a high zinc content, which promotes immune response formation and wound healing, and maintains nitrogen balance.
- The food is supplemented with L-carnitine, which promotes the preservation of muscle mass and fatty acid oxidation, as well as aids recovery in cats with liver lipidosis.
- The uniquely high omega-3 fatty acid composition helps the body in cases of cachexia.
- By optimizing the food, it is possible to improve wound healing in critical patients. SPECIFIC™ F/C-IN-W Intensive Support contains beta-1,3/1,6-glucans and increased amounts of zinc and protein, which further promote wound healing.
- It is recommended to gradually transition to SPECIFIC™ F/C-IN-W Intensive Support, especially for anorexia patients. The normal amount should be increased to the recommended portion over 3 days (Day 1 - 33%, Day 2 - 67%, Day 3 - 100%).
- Before use, it is recommended to warm SPECIFIC™ F/C-IN-W Intensive Support to room temperature, and to divide the daily amount of food into several small portions to be fed throughout the day.
