Hill's PRESCRIPTION DIET c/d Multicare Stress + Metabolic cat food with chicken is a complete, dietary food designed to dissolve struvite stones, reduce the recurrence of struvite stones (causing feline lower urinary tract disease, FLUTD), reduce the formation of oxalate stones, and assist in weight loss for adult cats. This food has a low energy density, properties that promote urine supersaturation, which reduces the formation of struvite stones, and alkalinizing properties, containing low levels of magnesium, calcium, and vitamin D. DOSAGE: Feed only this food. It is recommended to consult a veterinarian before use. Feed the exact daily amount based on the cat's ideal weight. To ensure effective weight loss or to maintain the ideal weight, care should be taken not to exceed the recommended daily energy intake. When starting a dietary regimen, a transition period is recommended. FOR WEIGHT LOSS: Determine the amount of food based on the desired, not the current animal weight. FOR WEIGHT MAINTENANCE: The animal should be monitored to ensure optimal body weight is maintained, appropriately increasing the amount of food. Adjust the amount of food and the number of meals according to the veterinarian's instructions. Recommended duration of use: for dissolving struvite stones: 5 to 12 weeks; for reducing the recurrence of struvite stones: initially up to 6 months; for reducing the formation of oxalate stones: up to 6 months; for weight loss: until the desired body weight is reached and then, if necessary, to maintain the desired body weight. Fresh drinking water should always be available.
