Kattovit NIERE/RENAL is specially formulated food to provide cats with a reduced protein content, using high-quality proteins with easily digestible composition. High protein content can adversely affect the kidneys. A crucial factor is the protein content in relation to the amount of energy. Kattovit NIERE/RENAL differs from regular food by providing approximately only half of the energy through protein. The food is enriched with potassium citrate, which makes urine less acidic (neutral), thus preventing the formation of oxalate crystals (oxalate prevention). The phosphorus and sodium content is reduced.

Composition: Cereals, meat and animal by-products, oils and fats, vegetables, plant-based by-products, eggs and egg products, fish and fish by-products, yeasts, minerals (0.1% potassium citrate). Protein sources: poultry protein (dried) 16%, dried whole eggs 6%, rice 16%, corn 12%, fish protein (dried) 2%, poultry liver meal 2%. 25.5% total protein, 19.5% fat, 2.5% total fiber, 4.5% ash, 0.70% calcium, 0.40% phosphorus, 0.20% sodium, 0.08% magnesium, 0.70% potassium, essential fatty acids 4.0%, chlorides 0.4%, sulfur 0.5%, hydroxyproline: 0.10%, vitamin D (total): 700 IU/kg, caloric content: 404 kcal/100g. Nutritional additives/kg: Vitamin A: 16,000 IU, Vitamin D3: 800 IU, Vitamin E (all-rac-alpha-tocopherol acetate): 240 mg, zinc (as amino acid zinc chelate, hydrate): 112 mg, iodine (as anhydrous calcium iodate): 4 mg, selenium (selenium in organic form from Saccharomyces CNCM I-3060 (inactive selenium yeast)): 0.12 mg, taurine: 1500 mg.
