Hill's PRESCRIPTION DIET k/d dog food is a complete, dietary food for improving kidney function in cases of chronic or acute kidney failure in adult dogs. This food has a low phosphorus content and a restricted protein content, but it is of high quality. The ActivBiome+ Kidney Defense technology nourishes the gut microbiome and supports kidney functions. Controlled phosphorus and low sodium levels, enriched with omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil, help protect vital kidney function. High levels of essential amino acids and L-carnitine help build and maintain muscle mass. DOSAGE: Feed only this food. It is recommended to consult a veterinarian before use. Feed the amount indicated on the packaging according to the dog's weight. Then adjust it to the animal's needs to maintain optimal body weight; the daily amount can be divided into two or more meals per day. Recommended duration of use: initially up to 6 months (2 to 4 weeks in case of temporary kidney failure). Fresh drinking water should always be available.
