Hill's PRESCRIPTION DIET c/d Multicare + Metabolic dog food is a complete dietetic food for the reduction of recurrence of struvite stones, dissolution of struvite stones, reduction of oxalate stone formation, and weight loss in adult dogs. This food has a low energy density, properties that promote urine supersaturation, which reduces the formation of struvite stones, urine acidifying properties, and low levels of magnesium, calcium, and vitamin D. DOSAGE: Feed only this food. It is recommended to consult a veterinarian before use. Feed the exact daily amount based on the dog's ideal weight. To ensure effective weight loss or to maintain the ideal weight, care should be taken not to exceed the recommended daily energy intake. FOR WEIGHT LOSS: Determine the amount of food based on the desired, not the current animal weight. FOR WEIGHT MAINTENANCE: The animal should be monitored to ensure optimal body weight is maintained, adjusting the amount of food accordingly. Adjust the amount of food and the number of meals according to the veterinarian's instructions. Recommended duration of use: for dissolution of struvite stones - from 5 to 12 weeks; for reduction of recurrence of struvite stones: initially up to 6 months; for reduction of oxalate stone formation: up to 6 months; for weight loss: until the desired body weight is reached and then, if necessary, to maintain the desired body weight. Fresh drinking water should always be available.
