Nefroloxan, which contains a combination of NEFRO-BIOT ingredients, is intended for the dietary supplementation of cats and dogs. It is specifically designed for animals with kidney dysfunction, animals that may have nephropathy, as well as to improve the quality of life for animals with kidney dysfunction.
Composition: Polyporus umbellatus, Hibiscus sabdariffa, cyclodextrins, magnesium carbonate; microcrystalline cellulose – bulking agent, Ganoderma lucidum, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide – anti-caking agent.
Ingredient description:
Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi) (Flat-bracket fungus) has nephroprotective effects. The polysaccharides in the fungus help reduce blood creatinine concentration, as well as nitrogen compounds and albumin concentration in the urine of cats and dogs.
Polyporus umbellatus (Mushroom with umbrella) has antifibrotic properties regarding the renal medulla and cortex, and it helps inhibit kidney fibrosis.
Cyclodextrins form complexes with uremic toxins, limiting their absorption in the cat or dog's body.
Hibiscus sabdariffa (Hibiscus, karkade) containing anthocyanidins, inhibiting ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme), help reduce the blood pressure of the cat or dog, delaying the progression of chronic kidney failure.
Magnesium carbonate – Mg2+ cations formed as a result of the electrolytic dissociation of magnesium carbonate combine with phosphate anions that are ingested with food, creating an insoluble salt – magnesium phosphate, which is excreted from the cat or dog's body.
