Hill's PRESCRIPTION DIET c/d Multicare Stress + Metabolic cat food with chicken is a complete, dietary food to reduce the recurrence of struvite stone formation (causing feline lower urinary tract disease, FLUTD), to dissolve struvite stones, to reduce the formation of oxalate stones, and to promote weight loss in adult cats. This food has a low energy density, properties that promote urine supersaturation, which reduces struvite stone formation, urine alkalinizing properties, and it contains low levels of magnesium, calcium, and vitamin D. DOSAGE: Feed only this food. It is recommended to consult a veterinarian before use. To ensure effective weight loss or to maintain ideal weight, care should be taken not to exceed the recommended daily energy intake. When starting a dietary regimen, a transition period is recommended. Recommended duration of use: for dissolving struvite stones: 5-12 weeks; for reducing the recurrence of struvite stones: initially up to 6 months; for reducing the formation of oxalate stones: up to 6 months; for weight loss: until the desired body weight is achieved and then, if necessary, to maintain the desired body weight. Fresh drinking water should always be available.
