• It is recommended to divide the daily norm of SPECIFIC™ FCD Crystal Prevention food into 3 or 4 meals, which reduces the potential postprandial (after eating) increase in urine pH.
• Struvite urolithiasis is just one of the various types of urolithiasis found in cats. It is extremely important to determine the type of stones in the bladder, as each type may require a different dietary strategy (see the urolithiasis control chart in the "SPECIFIC™ food technical information" section).
• Due to its composition and high energy value, SPECIFIC™ FCD Crystal Prevention food is also suitable for healthy adult cats with slightly higher energy needs. Easily assimilable and balanced components provide the adult cat's body with all the nutrients necessary for a healthy life.
• For the prevention of recurrent urolithiasis caused by calcium oxalate, ammonium urate, or cystine deposits, it is recommended to use SPECIFIC™ FKD/FKW Kidney Support food.
• For overweight cats prone to struvite urolithiasis, SPECIFIC™ FCD-L Crystal Prevention, SPECIFIC™ FXD Adult, or SPECIFIC™ FRD Weight Reduction foods are recommended.
