Low RSS urine index (Relative Super Saturation) – to reduce the degree of urine saturation with struvites and calcium oxalates and create a solution with low metastability, which reduces the risk of new struvite and calcium oxalate crystal formation in urine.

The food has a reduced magnesium and phosphorus content (components of struvite crystals) to prevent the recurrence of struvite crystals and stones.

pH of urine below 6.4 dissolves existing struvite crystals and reduces the risk of their recurrence.

• It is recommended to divide the daily norm of SPECIFIC™ FCD-L Crystal Prevention food into 3 or 4 meals, which reduces the possible postprandial (after eating) increase in urine pH.
• Struvite urolithiasis – just one of the many types of urolithiasis found in cats. It is extremely important to determine the type of stones in the bladder, as each type may require a different feeding strategy (see the urolithiasis control chart in the "SPECIFIC™ food technical information" section).
• Thanks to its special composition and moderate energy value, SPECIFIC™ FCD-L Crystal Prevention food is particularly well suited for sedentary cats and cats predisposed to obesity.
• The food contains psyllium (plantago psyllium husks) and beet pulp (beet fiber), which promote gastrointestinal health.
• For the prevention of recurrent urolithiasis caused by calcium oxalate, ammonium urate, or cystine deposits, it is recommended to use SPECIFIC™ FKD/FKW Kidney Support food.
