Hydrolyzed salmon protein, with a molecular weight of <10,000 daltons, is easily absorbed and has reduced allergenicity.
Uniquely high omega-3 fatty acid content of EPA and DHA from fish oil and GLA from borage. These fatty acids influence the formation of immune responses by modifying eicosanoid production and promote skin and coat health in dogs suffering from atopy.
There is intense metabolism in the skin, which underlines the high need for specific nutrients. The high content of vitamins A, E, and B group, zinc, and selenium improves skin and coat health.
Thanks to very high-quality and easily assimilable components, the food is particularly well-suited for patients with enteritis.
A balanced complete food that contains nutrients that provide growing and adult dogs with everything necessary for maintaining health. Therefore, the food is also suitable for puppies.
- SPECIFIC™ CΩD Allergy Management Plus – it is a balanced complete hypoallergenic food (based on rice and hydrolyzed salmon). The food has a uniquely high fatty acid content (EPA, DHA, and GLA), which promotes health maintenance in dogs suffering from both food allergies and atopy.
- To prevent food allergy symptoms, it is extremely important that the dog eats nothing other than hypoallergenic food. For pampering a dog with food allergies, SPECIFIC™ CT-HY Hypoallergenic Treats are recommended. These treats do not contain any other components than those in SPECIFIC™ CΩD Allergy Management Plus, making them well-suited for dogs with food allergies.
- In addition to the beneficial effects on allergic dermatoses, the uniquely high omega-3 fatty acid content also positively affects other immune-related disorders. Food allergies can also be responsible for their occurrence (inflammatory bowel disease, colitis, arthritis): the hypoallergenic SPECIFIC™ CΩD Allergy Management Plus food with its uniquely high fatty acid content provides optimal assistance in combating them.
- SPECIFIC™ CΩD Allergy Management Plus food is characterized by high quality, easily assimilable components, and high electrolyte content. Therefore, the food will be particularly valuable for patients with gastrointestinal problems associated with acute disorders in the gastrointestinal tract, maldigestion, and/or exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.
- For dogs with gastrointestinal problems, it is recommended to divide the daily amount of SPECIFIC™ CΩD Allergy Management Plus food into 3-5 meals.
- Psyllium (plantago ovata seeds) – these are soluble fibers that also have gelling properties, absorbing liquid in volumes many times greater than their weight. Psyllium is known for its positive effect on regulating gastrointestinal function.
