EPA and DHA are omega-3 fatty acids that positively affect the joints, skin, and coat condition of senior cats. The increased levels of EPA and DHA also positively influence the kidneys, blood pressure, and blood lipids.
The moderately reduced levels of protein and sodium, the increased potassium citrate content, and urine pH ~ 6.6 prevent the formation of struvite crystals and positively affect urinary tract health.

Psyllium (plantago psyllium seeds) is a soluble fiber that also has gelling properties, absorbing liquid in volumes many times greater than its weight. Psyllium is known for its positive effect on the regulation of digestive tract function.
