• To prevent food allergy symptoms, it is very important that the dog eats nothing other than hypoallergenic food. For pampering a dog with food allergies, SPECIFIC™ CT-HY Hypoallergenic Treats are recommended. These treats do not contain any other components than those in SPECIFIC™ CDD-HY Food Allergy Management, making them well-suited for dogs with food allergies.
• To diagnose the causes of food allergies, the "gold standard" method is considered to be the elimination method, where the animal eats home-cooked food and then is given a potentially provoking product. When feeding with home-cooked food is not possible, such tests can be conducted with SPECIFIC™ CDD-HY Food Allergy Management food.
• SPECIFIC™ CDD-HY Food Allergy Management is distinguished by good quality, easily assimilable components, and increased electrolyte content. Therefore, the food will be particularly suitable for patients with gastrointestinal problems related to acute intestinal disorders, maldigestion, and/or exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.
• For dogs with gastrointestinal problems, it is recommended to divide the daily amount of SPECIFIC™ CDD-HY Food Allergy food into 3-5 feeding times.

SPECIFIC™ CDD-HY Food Allergy Management food is easily absorbed by the body and is therefore an ideal choice for patients suffering from exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. However, therapy with pancreatic enzyme preparations is also recommended.
